Gogama, Ontario - Hiking TrailsBald Rock Interpretive Scenic Lookout: This trail was created in July 1994 by the Dividing Lake Ontario Rangers as part of their 50th anniversary celebration. In July of 1999, a microburst passed through the area, destroying various sections of the landscape. A “microburst” is a very strong wind with no definitive path. By selective harvesting of fallen trees followed by a replanting of the area, the landscape has begun to reclaim it's beauty and it offers a great scenic view. Waterfront Park Walking Trail:(Trail Temporarily Closed) This trail is three quarters of a mile long and is located within the town site along the shore of Minisinakwa Lake. This trail is part of a greater development project that includes the public beach and plans are being considered to establish a Heritage Site to commemorate the days gone by of the Poupore Forestry Company. Other areas for trails are also being considered to further complement the existing trails.
